Competency Driven Curriculum

In 2009, the Sous Chef is getting a content overhaul designed to align the comprehensive media and written content of the program to state and national standards for culinary arts education.

The new Sous Chef is now teachable by specific objectives determined by the teacher, making the learning experience more relevant and interactive for all students. Lesson Plans will now seamlessly transition to quantifiable activities, assessments, and evaluations that will be made available prior to the 2009-2010 school year.

In addition, these objectives and competencies are highly customizable, and can be tailored to the level of each class, a specific work group, or even self-paced learners.
