The Perfect Solution
Despite the current volatile status of our nation's economy, as educators, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic as we head into the next three years and prepare for the challenges ahead.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides approximately $100 billion for education, creating an opportunity to save hundreds of thousands of jobs, support states and school districts, and advance reforms and improvements that will create long-lasting results for our students and our nation including early learning, K-12, and post-secondary education.
Here at KP Education, we are excited about the coming years because we realize that we offer an education solution that is uniquely poised to meet the demands set by the DOE and the federal government.
The DOE has issued four principles for spending of ARRA funds:
- Spend funds quickly to save and create jobs.
- The Sous Chef is a one time purchase that is specifically geared toward skills-based education and workforce development.
- Improve student achievement through school improvement and reform.
- Progress toward rigorous college- and career-ready standards and high-quality assessments that are valid and reliable for all students.
- Establish pre-K-to college and career data systems that track progress and foster continuous improvement.
- Make improvements in teacher effectiveness and in the equitable distribution of qualified teachers for all students.
- Provide intensive support and effective interventions for the lowest-performing schools
- The Sous Chef is rooted in technology, and is ideal for school improvement and the integration of forward-thinking teaching methodologies.
- Ensure transparency, reporting and accountability.
- Sous Chef purchases are easy to track and will deliver quantifiable improvements to your program.
- Invest one-time ARRA funds thoughtfully to minimize the "funding cliff." ARRA represents an historic infusion of funds that is expected to be temporary. Depending on the program, these funds are available for only two to three years and should be invested in ways that do not result in unsustainable continuing commitments after the funding expires.
- The Sous Chef is a lifetime purchase; there are ABSOLUTELY NO Subscription, maintenance, or renewal fees!
